Dear First Evaners,

Bottom liners: scroll to the end of this list for today’s announcement. It’s bolded and highlighted. You can’t miss it.
For the scenic tour, keep reading here:

  • On March 13, 2020, we sent out an email saying we WOULD have in-person services on March 15.
  • On March 16, 2020, we sent you an email saying we would have online only services for two weeks—March 22 and 29.
  • On March 27, 2020, we sent you an email saying online only was extended through April 12, Easter.
  • On April 24, 2020, we announced the formation of a “Reopening Task Force.”
  • On May 15, 2020, your email announced we planned to resume in-person for worship only on June 21, Father’s Day.
  • On June 18, 2020, we sent out a reopening survey and over 500 of us said we planned to attend on June 21.
  • On June 15, 2020, we sent out a link to many pages of regathering guidelines for a safe resumption of in-person gathering.
  • On June 21, 2020, we regathered in-person for the first time with a little over 200 in attendance, fully masked and socially distanced.
  • On September 17, 2020, you received an email which told you we would resume Adult Sunday School, Youth, and nursery on October 4 with social distancing and a new mode we called Mask in Motion.
  • On December 1, 2020, you received an email telling you we were going back to full-time masking due to a spike in cases.
  • As 2021 dawned, cases declined and on February 1 we announced a return to Mask in Motion.
  • Now, here it is, May 12...
Last Monday night, the Session decided that effective this Sunday, May 16, we will move to “mask optional” and only the eastern quarter of the Sanctuary will require social distancing. The Fellowship Hall will also continue to be reserved during the worship services for high-risk individuals.

Wearing masks and social distancing are now left to the discretion of each member. There is, however, plenty of room so please stay reasonably spread out whenever possible.

I am genuinely so thankful for how the overwhelming majority in this Body have served, prayed for, ministered to, and supported the church and its members during this crazy year.

To God Be The Glory!
